If you can get one. They help immensely with traction. I have just the good ole run of the mill S1 without an LSD. It is nice but I could really benefit with having an LSD. An LSD helps with launching and cornering. I would definitely try to find a trans that has an LSD.

Their just as reliable as the non-lsd trannys. I would try to find a tranny with a LSD...you'll thank yourself in the long run, but if you can't find a good deal on one than you can live without it.

Don't be taken by the price of the Phantom Grips, I've heard from a few people that the Phantom Grip LSDs suck, like with drag racing/straight line type stuff it works well, but cornering sucks hardcore.

i would get a quaife but they are the most expensive but from i hear they have a lifetime warranty or somehting like that.
someone told me that a friend of his blew his kaaz lsd, so i dont really want wanna those. you dont have to maintain it at all, just put it in.

and if it breaks, well it kinda desends on what breaks. i say only get one if your a drag racer or an autocrosser. i mean if you one of those kinda guys that gets a swap and doesnt race at all, then you dont need one. i got a friend who drives a 97 prelude and a 92 civic w/b16a2 swap with an lsd. but that ass doesnt even race, kinda like a waste of a couple fast cars. and he claims that hes a racer, wannabe racer.

but honestly the only guys that i know that have an lsd, are like guys who race every weekend, and go to the drag strip every month and race until they kick them out. kinda like hardcore racer guys.

I have the factory fit LSD on my B16A1 in my siR, I’ve also got an EF7 Si, the difference is immense when cornering on the limit and in particular in the wet.

The quaife go for around £500 (British pounds), definitely a good investment!!

From personal experience it’s difficult to brake an LSD, I’ve had my car for over 5 years and not had a problem.

If im not mistaken the quaifs are advertised to be indestructable. They come with a lifetime guarantee. I would definetly get a LSD if I had the option, whether I was racing or not.
