94 Camaro Starter

does anyone know how to get the starter out of a 94 camaro? im having issues and i followed the repair manual, do i need to take the exhaust pipe off to do it?

No, you don't have to drop the y-pipe but it would make everything a lot easier. You can wiggle the starter out from the rear if you take down the shield over the torque converter.

Wait, what engine and tranny is your car?
