Changing Z34 Starter... Need help

Hi everyone,
Today I tackled the manifold gaskets to fix a vacuum leak. they were in pretty bad shape and the vacuum line under the top 1/2 was in real bad shape so I replaced that too. While I was plugging away at that , I had a friend remove the oil cooler and replace the starter. (we had to remove the cooler to get the starter out). Once we get the car all back togather, I start it up. Heres the problem...... The car puked out ALL of its oil. I ask my buddy if he had replaced any gaskets he took out, and he don't remember if there were any. If any of you had to replace your starters, Can you please give me some insight to this? Im going to take the cooler off the car again tomorrow and try to figure out the problem.

Thanks
Ed

I have a 1992 Z-34 Lumina and removed & reinstalled the oil cooler and starter without any problems. Sounds like the oil cooler center connector isn't properly tightened or the gasket on the oil cooler is missing.

Heya,
Thanks for the reply, I went outside and yanked the oil filter off and noticed my buddy had pinched some small wires between the oil filter and the cooler(was getting dark), I took the cooler off to inspect anyways and noticed the gasket was in rough shape, I tried to salvage it , but It didnt work out. I have another gasket on order and will be picking it up tomorrow. thanks again

Ed
