Fuel filler door latch will not stay closed
I have a new problem with my 2006 Sonata V6. The remote release button works fine (I can hear the latch clicking) but the fuel filler door stays open. The pin that retracts and holds the door closed looks like it has not popped out enough...I tried WD40, but it did not work. I will take it to the dealer, since this would be under warranty, but I was wondering if this is a common problem?

I found out what the problem was...boy, do I feel stupid...I had a 25 LB bag of dog food in the trunk. It was leaning against the manual fuel release cable inside the trunk and pulling it downward, releasing the door. I didn't even know there was a manual cable there...
