84 Buick Lesabre no spark

Hi, I have a 84 Buick Lesabre with an Olds 307 engine. I have changed spark plugs and wires, the ignition module was checked and it is good, I bought a new ignition coil and distributor cap and rotor button. I am still not getting any spark down to my spark plugs. Can somebody please help me? Oh, and I also changed out the whole distributor.

Welcome to AF. Do you have 12v to the hot lead at the dist connector? Where did you get the replacement dist?

Get an answer to Max's question, and you may have a resolution. The "new" distributor should eliminate the pickup coil, HEI switching module, play and spark scatter, and the internal connections.

Per the PM to me, if you have confirmed 12v at the dist, and it in fact does turn? Then it goes back to the coil, pick up or module, rotor or cap.

The coil is new, the ignition module is good had it checked twice,and the rotor cap is new.

Yes, I have 12v at the distributor. You don't have to get an attitude, bruh. My bad if I forgot to metion that.

Unless someone can give me proof this '84 Lesabre is a true classic and not just an old car this thread has been moved to the LeSabre forum.

Max, I seem to remember a spring in connection with the carbon plug & the coil ( I could be wrong its been a long time ) and there is no mention of the pick up coil.

Correct it is in the cap, he said he switched distributors, so the assumption this is another pick up was involved, still not start., at that point as you see, I referred him to a website page that would walk him thru the diagnostics.
