Radio not turning off

I have an 03 Venture... recently my radio hasn't been turning off when exiting the vehicle. I actually have to open the passengers side door in order to kill the radio.

Also my power locks on the drivers side will only unlock but it won't lock. I dunno if it's related to the radio issue or not.

I know that most vehicles used to have a button type switch in the door jam where it would turn the dome light off but I see nothing of the sorts on this venture. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Radio not turning off

if the radio is not shutting off with driver door, but does shut off with passenger door, then first guess would be the door switch or related wiring. you could let it go and radio will shut off in 20 minutes. maybe try swapping driver and passenger door switches to check it out....is easier and cheaper than going to dealer. if i remember right, the door switch is on the frame, as looking at driver door would be on the lower right corner...but i could be wrong about location. could also be integrated in the latch...i honestly don't remember, maybe someone else could chime in and help on location.

Re: Radio not turning off

the door button is in a black rubber deal try poking a small hole in the bottom of it and spraying some w-d 40 in it and mash it in a couple of times and see if it starts to work. sometimes the rubber holds moisture inside the switch and makes it stick. but be sure to poke the small hole in the bottom if thr rubber.
