Re: Serpentine Belt Alero 2000

Hi, Just wondering if you knew when this belt is changed I get a VERY loud scream out of it. Like when an old fan belt is loose X 100....I'm assuming this has to do with the belt tensioner, but I do not know how to tighten it...Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Serpentine Belt Alero 2000

The serpentine drive belt tensioner system is self adjusting. Also, you may have a bad tensioner pulley or idler pulley.

And welcome to AF.

Re: Belt Tensioner

Something else I've noticed is the stock belts squeal on the crank pulley all the time.
A good year gator back belt eliminates the noise, if you tensioner is good that is.

just my
