Thumbs up 1997 GMC jimmy stalls-no start

Its in the key switch, we took it apart and verified it was in the key switch , the pink wire in the wire cluster would cause a stall every time, replace the switch and it starts every time. The truck would stall when comeing to a stop at lights then restart at first. The truck has around 130000 miles on it and runs great otherwise. The vehicle got worsre , then would not start at all eventually. The gauges would not work when this occurred also the fuel pump would not run , the truck had no spark, but would crank over . Also you could not shift out of park. There was a thread on this site that was very helpful, but was dicontinued because it was over 2 years old, so im starting a new one. This problem appears chronic on this truck. REPLACE THE KEY SWITCH YOU WILL BE HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!

Known problem with 97 S & T bodies. The "How to" section in the Blazer forum has several threads with help on replacing.
