Mystery Model

I'm not going to reveal it just yet, you'll have to guess for now. all i'm letting you know is that its a tamiya model of a concept car. this has to be one of the best fitting models i've done along with the C5-R. its just butter in my hands. here is a pic of what i have done, i'm going to see if i can finish it later tonight, if not then tomorrow. any guesses yet?

I'll admit, you have me stumped. And I thought I knew my Tamiya models well.

But, here's what I do know:
a. The car's mid- or rear-engined. I can tell by the chassis.
b. 10 to 1 it's a Ferrari. The engine is red, it looks like a V12 and, well, you bought it.

So maybe I don't know my Ferraris as well as I know my models, and I just don't know that car is a concept.

BTW, the only "concept car" I can find by Tamiya is a brand new one, not out yet, I think... Take a peek. (no pix yet. )

Good job Guiddy!!! You totally nailed it!!!

I'd never neen it before:

From HLJ:
Ferrari unleashed this masterpiece, a show car prototype designed by Pininfarina on the automotive world in 1989. It's based on the chassis of the Testarossa, but has very obvious differences, like an adjustable rear wing and front intake, and other modifications.

Tamiya's kit faithfully recreates the car, including full interior, engine and suspension detail. The rear engine cover opens and closes to show off the powerplant. Rubber tires. Wheels turn and steer after completion.
Nice! :flash: Where'd you pick it up, Dave?

I got it at a place called robers crafts, it was the only Ferrari they had and not to mention the only tamiya they had to, so i had to get it. but i'm having some trouble with the black piece in front of the sindshield, it won't sit flush with the car so i might have to do some chopping, other than that its looking great.

Damn, why didn't I think of that before!!!

It was first the engine, then the wheels that made me click!

I have built the Testarossa, so I knew it wasn't that!

All the other Ferraris have much different engines!!!
