trans problem

I went to check the fluid in my trans yesterday and when I pulled out the dipstick I noticed that it was all rusty could there be water in my trans should i change trans fluid an sand off all rust on dipstick its all the way up to the handle truck doesent seem to be shifting differently

Not unusal when you do not use it very much.
Smear a dab of oil on it.
Just make sure AC line or water drain is not running down on it.
What year and how many miles since transmission service?
People that service there transmissions on a regular basic have a lot less transmission problems than people that never service the.
The best service for your transmission is a pan drop and new filter.
