Anyone got wattage smarts?

Well ive just got my rear speakers installed (ill edit with pics when i have the chance. They look alright.

My next step with the audio ordeal is figuring out to start using the unused amps i have in my rears. They sound clear even at my head units highest volume.

Does anyone know the watage that the standard audio system of a 2001 cav puts out? is it even worth me buying an expensive head unit?

Maybe its an amp i need? Thanks

Re: Anyone got wattage smarts?

that radio sounds clear by cutting out the bass at a certain volume. you will never get good sound out of an amp with a factory radio. NO matter what your friends tell you sounds good....
if you want good sound.. get yourself a new radio with a hpf output for your surrounds ( that allows only the high pass sounds to pass the gate leaving bass to be controlled by a subwoofer), and a non-fading line voltage regulator (sub control)

the standard ac delco radio puts out 15 watts at 8 ohms
