Fog Lights

I am having problems finding replacement for lights for my 1998 Silhouette. I have one that the glass on the front is busted out so I would like to replace the set. Can't sem to find any factory type online, just aftermarket add on junk. I checked some salvage yards but there doesnt sem to be a whole lot of Silhouettes in the yards. I don't believe the fog lights from the Venture or Montana form the same time period are the same but I may be wrong.

Anybody have any ideas where else to look???

Thanks in advance.

I got mine from P&G https://www.partszoneonline.com/index.php Much cheaper than the GM Dealer and nice people to deal with.

Re: Fog Lights

Did you check www.car-part.com ? They usually have a lot of hard to find parts. Just enter your vehicle info in the search boxes and you'll get the results from salvage yards across the country. You can also narrow down the search to places closer to your location. I did a quick check on the site and they do show some fog lights for your '98.

Re: Fog Lights

I haven't been able to find fog lights anywhere either. Neither of the links above had them that I could find. If anyone has any other suggestions for fog light replacements, please post . . .

Did you try my suggestion of www.car-part.com ? I just went again to that site and entered "1998" in the first box, selected Olds Silhouette in the next box, and then in the parts search box I scrolled down to "Foglight". It then asked which side of the vehicle, so I selected "Right side in bumper" and then was taken to a results page. There is one for $55 in VA, another for $50 in RI and NC. If I knew how to take a screen shot and post it here I'd do the whole page to show what is available. Also ,other year models will also work in place of a '98, so you're not "tied down " to just a '98.

Re: Fog Lights

I come up with a blank screen when I put 99 olds silo in the search box. No results of any sort.
Thanks

I did try it, I found the site expensive considering the condition of some of the lights and shipping. Fogs from a 1997-2000 will work. 2001-2004 are different. Doesnt matter anymore, I junked the van. It had a hard life. It was used as a flower delivery van from 1999 until a few months ago. It suffered from leaking intake gasket syndrome!! It also suffered from variuos other annoyances.
