'05 Mustang GT vs '90 Camaro
I have an automatic 2005 Mustang GT (8 cyl), nothing added and nothing changed, only some decals and such. I was offered to race against a 1990 Camaro, I don't have any information about it except that it's a manual. I want to know with just that information what would the odds be? Or at leasy you opinion on who would win a race. It's going to be on a straight road that nobody has used in a while. So with that, who would be winning?

Re: '05 Mustang GT vs '90 Camaro
Go out. Race. Find out.
True fact: 93% of bench racers wind up on the "have you seen me" side of milk cartons.

Re: '05 Mustang GT vs '90 Camaro
If it's a '90 Camaro with a manual it's either a 5L V8 or a whimpy 3.8L (I believe? getting rusty!) V6. Unless it's been changed, if it hasn't then that's what you're up against.
The 5.7L V8 only came in automatic, so chances are it hasn't been swapped. Either way, your car is 15 years newer with a 80-90hp advantage on the Camaro. You should win. Now... go find out.
