rough stops
i have a 91 civic lx
the problem that i am having is shaky breaking, especially on inclined planes. my first thought was the breaks. they hadn't been replaced in a while, so i replaced them with new brakes and rotors. the brake fluid was fine and everything else. is there any other possible cause to this problem? it is driving me nuts. |

Re: rough stops
Are you sure that the hubs were perfectly clean when you put the new rotors on? Are your wheels properly balanced and aligned?

Re: rough stops
Is it a pulsating pedal or a shaky steering wheel?
Are all your suspension bits tight, like tierod inner and outter ends?

Re: rough stops
the shaking is mostly felt in the steering wheel. as for the hubs and rotors, i cleaned and inspected them thouroughly. tires were replaced 1500 miles ago along with a four wheel alignment. i'll have a look at the tierod ends.
any other suggestions? |
