Question '94 Camry radiator

I have an all-metal replacement radiator on the way to replace
the plastic/alum. one which lasted not quite three years.
Is this a good DIY straightforward out with the old - in with the new?
Does the temp sensor simply unscrew?

I've never pulled it but, this makes it look pretty straight forward. Just reserve a day and take your time. http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us...rInfoPages.htm Click on the images to blow them up.

Re: '94 Camry radiator

Thanks, RIP
The old radiator was gonzo - leaking at the seam between the aluminum body and the plastic tank.
I mounted the new metal one, but here's the new problem.
The doughnut-like mounts at each corner of the old one were toast.
I mounted the new radiator on a cushion of two-inch thick insulation foam until
I can find the mounts for each corner of the new one.
No web parts guys seem to have 'em, and I would like not to have to spend way too much at a Toyota dealer. I will if I have to, though...
Are there universal-type mounts out there, or is there a DIY fix somebody tried and it worked?

Try the dealership. I am sometimes surprised at how some parts aren't expensive at all. If they want too much try a radiator shop. There's always a junkyard.

Re: '94 Camry radiator

Can you let me know what source you were able to obtain this all metal radiator since I had to replace mine twice already due to the top plastic section near the rad cap begins to split as it curves down to form the wider section. My radiator guy said that I could only replace it with the same plastic-topped model and there were no others. Thanks

Cool Re: '94 Camry radiator

Absolute Radiator stocks all metal radiators for select makes.
They also stock high-capacity radiators for extreme climates.
www.absoluteradiator.com
Mine was around 150 bucks incl. S&H
Spray the fan bolts with PB Blaster B4 you begin. Keep your vise-grips handy.
Strongly recommend you replace with new bolts.
Best Regards
Jim
