I think Ford states .042 to .046

I found out it's suppose to be gapped at .054 according to the 8th # in the vin being an "W"...What do you guys think??? Is this too big of a gap?

the gap is 0.054 according to the ford manual.

I have checked with several auto part stores and was told it's supposed to be gapped @ 0.053 , I don't know if 0.001 would make that much difference .

Ford plugs are gapped at .052-.056 i always put them at .054 and i havent had a problem yet out of the police cars.
