Emergency Brake Light
Okay so as I'm driving down the road sometimes my emergency brake light comes on and then after a little while it goes off. Also when I push the button to make sure that it's not engaged the light still doesn't go off. Is there something that I can check, or is there something that may have gotten crossed?

Re: Emergency Brake Light
your brake light is coming on because the brake fluid in the reservior is low, it indicates that your front brake pads are low, it's time to do the brakes. i hope this helps you.

Re: Emergency Brake Light
If your fluid level is OK go to any automotive store and ask them to check your charging system. It sometimse may trigger the brake light.
Good luck, Sam

You are low on brake fluid.

Lenjack is correct. You are most likely low on brake fluid in the master cylinder. After checking and refilling the master cylinder, inspect the thickness of the front brake pads and the thickness of the pads or shoes in the rear. When the fluid level drops that far, it usually indicates there has been considerable wear on them and it might be time for replacement of the pads and/or shoes. Mike |

Re: Emergency Brake Light
Thanks for the help. Talked to my dad about it and we've decided to fill up the brake fluid, and to listen for any sounds that shouldn't be there. After we filled up the fluid the emergency brake light has yet to come on again.
