cant figure out idle

i cant figure out my idle if i hook up my aftermarket one it reads 800 at idle range and the factory one i have is in a cluster out of a cavalier z24 3.1L and reads 500. I was wondering if a 3.1 and 2.2 gauge clusters are different

Re: cant figure out idle

yeah, the 3.1 cluster is set to 6 cylinders while the 2.2 cluster is set to 4 cylinders, just like you'd set a tach
