Hello, my son bought a 95 accord with 131,000 miles on it. He has driven it for three months with no issues. Two weeks ago it began just cutting out on him during normal cruise conditions. No heavy acceleration just normal cruising speeds. It would start right up the first few times but yesterday had to sit for 10 minutes before it restarted.

Re: 95 honda accord 4 cyl auto cuts out
There are many things that can cause this, but I would start with checking regular maintenance items: spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and of course all grounds.

Re: 95 honda accord 4 cyl auto cuts out
well you were both right. car was in need of a tune up but it also needed an new dist. Oil seals in the distributor and valve cover were flooding the electrical sytem with oil. Hope this is it.

Yep, oil in the distributor calls for a new distributor. The oil seal is in the distributor not the valve cover.
