Is Saturn tangie still around?
I need her help with a math problem.
"If 4% of the manufactured parts are defective, calculate the probability that the sample of 450 parts contains 45 or more defective parts." I'm having trouble with this one. I changed the numbers so you guys can do it without just giving me the answer, don't worry. Thanks

So, I know I saw a response previously about calculating 4% of the total product... and I know there was a response to that saying that wasn't it. I'm not strong in stats (only had to take 1 in school) so all I can say is that 4% is far less than the 45 stated in the problem (10%). I have no idea where you need to go from there.

Dizamn, if Tangie doesn't know then you might be in bad shape. What type of operation is this? Despite my hatred of my statistics/production mgmt/business analysis classes, I do remember some stuff. I'll help out if its something I still have stored inside that walnut that rattles around in my skull.
When is this due anyway???

Z score tables? Those would confuse me because I could never remember which one I was supposed to be using in a given situation. And when I finally figured that part out, I would routinely interpret the table wrong. Yeah, I think you were better off without my 'help'
