Quad 4 SOHC HO's?????
 ok i just got off phone with a fello who claims he has a 91 grand am 5 spd with a quad 4 SOHC High output.... i donno to beleive him or not b/c i have never heard of that b4.... he says there is no HP difference between the DOHC and SOHC H.O.'s .....does this mean there is a quad 4 with as much hp and uses less fuel? Am I missing somthing? fill me in plz

The SOHC version is less power (40 HP less) than the DOHC. Officially, the SOHC was called the Quad OHC.

i understand that Quad OHC but is there a HighOutput version of the single overhead cam, or just the 1 like i assumed?

The only HO engines I've seen are DOHC.
