Steering Vibrates
I have a 2004 Malibu, when I am driving over 60 KM and press the brakes peddle to stop the steering vibrates heavily until I am under 60KM before the vibration stops.
Have anybody experience this and what is the cause? |

Re: Steering Vibrates
Sounds like a caliper issue. I had that happen on a couple other cars I owned. Usually it involves the piston inside the caliper. I had a Mitsubishi Eclipse that did that to and turns out the boot around the piston was ripped. I lost the brake fluid out of that caliper.

Re: Steering Vibrates
i wouldn't rule out warped rotors, 60 KM is close to 40mph, and you would notice the vibration alot at those and higher speeds. try coasting in a parking lot and very gently apply the brakes and see if you feel the pedal kinda pulse a little. either way presents a safety problem or the eventual rattling of teeth out of your head. let us know what you find!
