Engine Block Numbers

Hey, I just recently got my hands on wha tis supposedly an LT1, I've searched all over the internet trying to verify that it is indeed an LT1. If you guys could help that would be great. All I really found out was that it was built at the Flint manufacturing plant, and that it was made on July 8th.

Thanks!

Re: Engine Block Numbers

Is the engine complete? or is it just a block?. If it has aluminium heads its from a F-body or corvette. If its Iron heads, its from a Impala or caprice. If its a Aluminum heads with non vented opti, right side accesory bracket and intake manifold without fuel rail crossover on throttle body side its from a 93 (also has oil sender unit on side of block instead of behind intake manifold(left side bracket means its from a vette, also vette has a real thick crank pulley and 4 bolt mains).

If it has aluminium heads with non vented opti, right side accesory bracket and has cross over for rail on manifold and oil pressure sender behind intake manifold. Its a 94 F-body (same rule as 93 for the Corvette)

Before I go on for like 3 pages. If you can take a pic or check if it has aluminium heads, vented or unvented opti, has a crank position sensor in the timing cover or not, right or left accesory bracket and measure thickness of crank pulley, also a description of where the head cooling cross over line comes (Y-bodys come out on passenger side of block, while f-bodys come out between intake manifold and valve cover).
