The best quote I've heard on the subject so far is that "redefining privacy is like redefining virginity"

Re: Here comes big brother!

I'd really lose faith in the government if this happened. I feel like it'd be a gross misapplication of their power, and a slap in the face to the general American public (which the government has been doing a lot of lately).
I'd hate to assume any sort of slippery slope argument - but look what's happening here - they got their way to tap phones and spy on people without having to get court approval, and now they want to step it up and get rid of anonymity on the internet so they can spy on that too.

Re: Here comes big brother!

Seems like all the usual posters here are just getting a little too used to the erosion of their rights and the destruction of our consitution under republican rule. Say bye, bye America, and remember it's happening under your watch. If you think illegal aliens are a bigger problem than this, you're wrong.

Lets all follow Chavez's lead or go the Democrats route of choosing how you should live your life.

I guess were screwed in all the chicken little scenarios.
