INtake??

thinking bout the AEM V2.....but was told to go with the AEM short ram intake for my mitsubishi eclipse 03 gts.....

I wouldn't use a short ram. I'd do a full cold air intake.

Some one just told you their preference is short ram. Just like my preference is cold air. I say get the V2 or Injen.

Personally the only reason I would ever get a short ram is if I was worried about hydrolock. With the Injen cold air (and the AEM V2 I think) you can convert it to short ram in like under 10 min. but thats only if you plan on going thru huge puddles of water.
Also if for some reason the V2 doesnt convert to short ram then I know forsure AEM makes a bypass valve to prevent hydrolock. Thats if your worried about it.

If you drive like you should then hydrolock shouldn't be a problem

To hydro lock you motor you'd have to pretty much drive into a puddle 3 feet deep.

Im currently using the K&M typhoon 69 series can be either cold or short ram. Nice upper rpm enhancment. Sound good also. Im happy
