02 Rendezvous Intermittent No Start

Customer States Vehicle Cranks Good No Start. Any Help Would Be Appreciated.

The common problem I know of with both the Vous and Pontiac version is hot start I:E: run vehicle for a while then stop for just a few minutes (as in fuel fill-up and no long time looking for goodies in the store ) and try to re-start. Vehicle will crank well just not start as quick as it usually does. The only solution I know of is to hold key in start position longer (maybe 10 seconds as opposed to normal 3-4).

Tried what you said and we are unable to reproduce customers concern.

I should have mentioned, even the host start problem is intermitent and (of course) may not be re-creatable at will. Perhaps if your still trying, run it till good and warm, shut it off, then wait I dunno maybe 5 mins and try to restart, perhaps you will catch it. It has happened to ours maybe 15 times in the last 5 years or so and 120k miles. I have heard about it quite a few times here and there, but have never heard of a solution. You could ask the custumer if the above scenario asounds about right (could be different conditions)

Oh one other thing I have found is that if you do have the problem, the more times you try the quick start(I:E: hold the key in start position for just the usual 3-4 seconds) the longer it will take to start it by holding key in start position longer
