Vertex Ridge S15

Finally able to post up completed pics. Wanted some nice outdoor shots but weather is so cold right now, lol. So glad to finally get this out the way as I never normally take this long on a build. Had so many problems with clear coating and some other minor flaws but overall I'm glad it's finished.

Aoshima Vertex Ridge S15 kit
SMS Carbon Fibre Decal
Crazy Modeler PE Bonnet Pins
Crazy Modeler PE Brake Discs Set 1
Fujimi GT Wing set

WIP: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=752508

As close a representation of the colour it is in real life as I can get. The other photos make it look a lot lighter.

Apologies for dust...

Finally, I can move onto trying to complete my two Ferrari's before the end of the year.

Cool build.

Where abouts in London are you from? Looks like Chelsea /Fulham area in the buildings in the background.

I was born in the Leyton area, but we moved out to Southend when I was young. Working in Chelsea about 4 years ago and now work around the Haringey area.

Re: Vertex Ridge S15

I am not the biggest fan of the Japanese scene. I love R33's RX-7's and one other and it is the S15. This is a damn nice looking Silvia, damn nice. I love it all and great job!

Re: Vertex Ridge S15

Thanks guys for the comments.

exhaust smoke, I'm in Bow....and finding it difficult to paint freely when I know I can't get any spray cans till after new years. So limited to what I already have .

Enzoenvy1, I got a R33 coming up soon so I'm glad to know there'll be at least one person who will be interested in it .

I know Bow. Why do you have to wait until new years for spray cans, is it the cold weather we are experiencing at the mo'? What spray cans do you use? I tend to go for the Halfords stuff.

Gotta wait because apparently, according to my LHS, Tamiya have recalled their TS sprays to be "re-labelled" so there's no where I can find any TS spray cans. Causing a few projects to go on hold because I'll just run out of paint. Unless you know somewhere in London I can get my hands on some? I thought about Halfords, but haven't used automotive paint before and don't wanna ruin the plastic.

Re: Vertex Ridge S15

Great looking build. That color really suits the car well..... As far as your paint issues go. You should have no problems with using automotive touch up paint. That is basically all I use on my builds and I have never had any issues at all with it.
