Re: noise in front end
Can you describe the noise a bit better? There are a lot of sounds that could be classified as "weird." Is it a squeak, a growl, a rumble, etc.? Which engine does your Explorer have? Which transmission?

Re: noise in front end
I am also having this problem in my 2002 Explorer Eddie Bauer. I have the 4.0L V6, but I really only notice this when making sharp turns at low speeds.
It seems to be coming from the front and it seems to be a rumble or maybe a fast series of low-pitched pops. It sounds very similar to turning sharply in 4WD (after not using it for a long time). Any ideas? |
