painting turning lights
Does anyone know what the best way is to paint the turning light? I'm using TAMIYA clear orange for this, but I'm not satisfied with the result.

Re: painting turning lights
Did you brush paint it or airbrush it?
Airbrushing several light coats is by far the best way to go.

Are you painting silver underneath the orange. That works well for me.

Re: painting turning lights
I used a brush to paint it. I've already used the clear enamels on a layer of alclad and this works perfect, but I noticed that this is a bit of a problem on clear sprue.

Re: painting turning lights
I've been using tamiya clears for a number of years now, i used to use Testors turn signal orange and stop light red, but wasn't happy with that.
I always back the clear lamp with some BMF and then paint the lens, which i'm happy with the results. ![]() Geoff |
