02 Cavalier - Electrical Issues

I have a 2002 Cavalier and have some annoying electrical issues that come and go.

1) Rear window deffoger light stays on at all times. Press the button and nothing happens, turn off car light goes out. All fuses are okay, connection at window is okay.

2) Power windows do not work at times, get power to switches and motor, no burned out fuses but yet windows intermittly work.

I heard there is a power module some where under the hood from another forum but could never confirm this.

Any suggestions?

Re: 02 Cavalier - Electrical Issues

A cavalier with power windows will eventually need the motors replaced. Sorry, but it's just the way it works.

Re: 02 Cavalier - Electrical Issues

Use a 12v test light and see if power is getting to the wire at the rear window. If not, pull the switch and see if power if getting to it. Go from there.
