RIP my 1.6i-VT

well i was going to work with my brother yesterday at 3.30AM, when i came across my old VT parked at a wierd angle, upon closer inspection i saw the kiddy who has had it for 2 weeks had completely stoved it in ,

heres the pics

I gave my details to his mum as i offered to get rid of the bits for him if he wants to , if not i may buy it myself to break if he will accept an offer, the car may not be up for breaking if he decides to get another one and put the bits on it but i thought i would post it up just in case

take a look

he hit it so hard its creased the roof and both 1/4 panels, every panel is fubar however the ass end is untouched

if anyone would be interested in bits let me know your interest

its a shame to see it like this, i must have spent a scary amount of time/money on it, but these things happen. i smashed up my first 4g at his age, easy done when you have a quick car when your young

the parts which may still be of use are....

Rover 620ti front brake setup
Rota Slipstreams 15" with brand new tyres
JDM rear midwing, Genuine part
C pillar brace
JDM rear speaker pods
Full VT interior
Full custom stainless Exhaust system
Mugen Rocker Cover (rep)
Mugen Filler cap (rep)
white painted centre panel on tail lights
VT rear Bumper
Rear tail lights
Engine which has 90k on it, also box, not sure on condition due to not being mine for well over 2 years lol

probably other stuff too
cheers

Jim

That makes me sad to see. Wonder just how many good cars have been lost because of stuff like this...

Re: RIP my 1.6i-VT

I want your wheels! I am on the hunt for a set of slipstreams in 15". What width are they? not that I care much, anything 6.5 and bigger is good.

Re: RIP my 1.6i-VT

how does the dash look? I've been looking for a RHD dash for awhile, only see them $300 plus imported..

if it's good, lemme know what you'd want for it, shipped to NY state.

(pry be more than I can afford, but I can think about it anyway.)

Re: RIP my 1.6i-VT

according to profile, UK.. according to license plate, and the fact that the car is RHD, UK or surrounding areas... basically, somewhere that's not in the US.

Re: RIP my 1.6i-VT

I'm contacting a salvage in the UK wednesday to find out what shipping will be on an engine... but I can get the EDM equivalent of the DOHC ZC engine from there for 50-75 GBP (about 175 USD) plus shipping, if they'll ship it to port from there... if not, I have a friend over there that drops scrap regularly, so he'll maybe work out a deal w/ them, and be able to ship it for me, and I"ll just pay him for it.

Re: RIP my 1.6i-VT

I got dibs on the tails and sideskirts. Would call it on the rear lip, but don't want you to seperate your bumper.

Thanks Jim.
