Starter cranks while key in run position
This is on an 89 iroc 5.7 auto, When the key is turned to the run position it starts to cranks and will just continue to do so until turn back to the off position. I already swapped the ignition switch out with a spare that i have and it still does the same thing. I was wondering if anybody has had this problem or know what it might be.

Re: Starter cranks while key in run position
Starter solenoid is stuck/contacts welded together.

Re: Starter cranks while key in run position
Either the switch is misadjusted or you have a serious short.

Re: Starter cranks while key in run position
I'm leaning towards short because the wiring is just screwed. I have all the wiring diagrams so i guess i'll just be running through making everything right.
