Cost to Repair

What would be a normalcost to repair a blown head gasket on my buick with a 3800 V6?

This is a 1998 with an auto trans. It has slowly been drinking anti freeze until yesterday when it sucked the entire contents of the over flow tank. The oil looks old now after a recent oil change, but never did look creamy. After refilling the overflow started the car and it now sounds like a lifter is not pumping up!

This sounds like an upper intake manifold (UIM) failure. We have many threads on this subject, and some good technical advice HERE
