2000 Intrigue blower motor works sometimes

I have a 2000 Olds Intrigue 3.5L with 87,000 miles. About 3 months ago I replaced the blower resistor and it worked great. For the past 10 days or so the blower has worked intermittently. Sometimes it begins to work after I've driven for a little while. It hasn't worked at all that last couple of days. I'm just curious whether the problem is the blower or something else electrical, since it did not simply die one day and never work again.

Also about 3-4 months ago the cruise control stopped working, but then began to work again a few days later and has work since. I didn't know if that could be related from a wiring point of view.

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Re: 2000 Intrigue blower motor works sometimes

I got an email for another user...

I droped the blower down and pulled the air intake tube and loaded both areas up with WD-40. It didn't work at first, which makes me wonder it the WD-40 short circuited the motor until it dried a little, but now it works great!
