High Oil Pressure
hey
i have a 98 sierra 5.0 and im having a problem with the oil pressure. it reads between 50 and 60 when it first start it up @ about 40 degrees. then after it has been all warmed up it still reads between 30 and 40. gm says the pressure should run at about 20 after warmed up i believe. i changed the oil with what the books says to use and i have not seen a diffrence. i dont even know where to start. any help would be wonderful. thanks Ricky |

Re: High Oil Pressure
I wouldn't be worried about it at all. I have an 02 S10 that reads 71 at cold start and reads about 38-40 at a warm idle. It also stays at 71 or so until the engine warms up for about 5 or 10 minutes. I use Mobil1 5W-30. Don't let it get to you.
