Dyno?
Many people have told me, not to even try to dyno my car, or be too hard on it...well a short while ago, i got on a dyno, and pushed it. i was expecting very less then what i got.
117 HP 133 LB-FT At the wheels it was a nice run, all goin good, sounded nice at WOT at around 70-80 All i have is a short ram intake, which actually kind of sucks hot air off the exhaust. I plan to fix that issue. And instead of a cat, a test pipe, with two old torn mufflers, rapped in muffler bandages. and of course, a fresh oil change Maybe more mods? Not sure yet.

Re: Dyno?
It's the 3.1L V6 Vin T paired up with the 4T60-E Tranny
factory spec is 140 HP, 185 FT-LB to the crank, i believe

Re: Dyno?
140 HP - 20% = 115.2 (wheel HP), so you are close to factory spec.

Re: Dyno?
So my GA SE is 234HP at the wheels, do I add 20% to make it crank HP reading.......
... 280.8hp at the crank

Re: Dyno?
Yes, 20-25% is a good number, either added or subtracted, on an auto trans car.

Re: Dyno?
so infact, im over factory spec, so the test pipe and intake i guess did do something.
just curious, i remember hearing somewhere that i can take the upper and lower intake manifolds off of the 3.4L DOHC and they will fit on my 3.1L V6, and in turn i would get some gains off of that, but im not too sure about the fuel injectors, vaccuum lines, etc. any words of advice if i was to partake in this daring move?

Re: Dyno?
OOopS!
That 234 was wrong, thats the torq my 3.4 has, its only 224hp, so that like 269 at the crank ![]() This link might explain what will fit your 3.1.
