so never seen!

a blown head gaskit on the 3800? hears mine at 94k miles

yea thats what coused it, my step dad got the car for my sisters bf he did a water pump on it an didn't blead the air out. so this happen an he didnt want to pay for the car any more. so i took over payment an have to fix it.this will only be my 2nd head gaskit job todate. is there any thing i should know be for putting it back togather? the first was my mom's 93 geanprix 3.1 still run's good 1 years later

If you did the more complicted 3.1 you should be good with this, While apart I would replace the troublesome upper intake, made by Dorman with the improved egr set up, use only the best quality gaskets here also.

whats the problem with the intake? i read that they blow up? link to a good gaskits. i was going to use fel pro? kit $270 the kits for the 3.1 was only $170 y is this one $270?

There is also some scattered information in the Tips and Maintenance link at the top of the Intrigue forum, but its a bit limited in my opinion, and isnt consolidated into one place.

thanks for the replays guys.
but i have another qustion! this happen to the car like 6mon a go an my step dad just parked it an it sat for six mon. i had to start it to drive it on the tailer started fine other than the smoke. but any way i was doing some reading an come up on what happens when the antinfrezz gets in to the oil, an i am now worried about the bearins in the motor.see the oils ben in the car so long an still is in the car! im going to drain it to day . but do you think the motor is damaged now? what should i do to find out? i dont know much about the inside of motor's!
what are some things i can do? im not going to have the money to get it running for a nother 3 or 4 weeks.
