just beat a 95ish V8 Mustang
i was coming back from Queens to my dorm. i was minding my own business when i saw this yellow mustang convertable. first he got in front of me and then he started gunning it. it was pretty fast even though i wasn't really flooring it but that car was acelerating pretty fast considerin the fact that i was already goin 85mph. well anyways then he slowed down then stayed behind and did one of those fly bys. still i'm not game becuase there are maaaaaad cops on the LIE and i know that if it was a straight up straight away race i would lose. well anyways we finally got to a area on the highway where there are never any cops and thats when i started flooring it. i was already goin 80 so i ddin't feel the need to downshift to 4th. anyways i started acelerating and i saw him chasing me. on the straight he was gaining on me pretty fast, until the turns started coming. then before i know it he just couldn't keep up with me. i was acelerating into those turns until i hit around 115mph+ then afterwards i don't see him behind me anymore. after that i slowed down to 70. i saw him slowing gaining on me then he saw me again then he just slowed down alot alot till i can't see him anymore. and he just stayed behind me. hahahah anyways i honestly didn't expect to win. i'm pretty proud of myself. this is honestly one of those races that i've won that actually deserves to be posted. heheh

good run!
I dont know why, but that reminds me of the time TV, a friend of ours and I did a 18 mile stretch of freeway in about 9 minutes. That I think gives me a average speed of 120mph. it was 4am, we wanted to get home fast and boy howdy did we. SOLID!! (haha Inside joke.) Ahh the good ol days of running the Nova into the ground.. nothing better to do! The speedo only goes to 120, but the car kept building after pegging the needle. I figure it has a top speed of about 130mph with 3.90 gears. Motor was screaming. It was great... TV...We shall conquer the highways once again... as soon as I get the Nova back in one piece. WE RACE LONG BEACH... SIX SPEED SHIFTAA!

great kill. not expected. when i read the title. great engines in those stangs too bad their handling sux unless your some sort of race master or somthing like that and then there is still a strugle.

thanks guy. see redneck atleast your car can go past 120mph even though your speedo only goes up to 120. my car has a fuel cut off and its really slowing me down. but its not like i go 120 that often anyways, but when i was racing that S4 avant. that limiter really costed me the race. he was only slowing gaining until i hit the limit and thats when he flew by me. oh wellz.

is there anyway to get rid of the limiter? and on a side note you are a nissan guy so i was wondering if the 240sx is the same cars as the ford probes?

good kill!
The 95 handles quite well actually, but its scarry taking any car that fast through turns Especally taking a nova through small european-ish streets *like the roads of italy, the area called naples is where we were *in Ca* 60-90 on small roads with mass bumps and my at the time fat ass dont mix when you have air shocks Ahhhhh the nova....I'll miss jezzy And in time, We have nova 2! and My next warhorse...I need to find a better job....

It is always nice when you take down a V8! Esspeacially when you out drive the person. A kill is oh so much better when it is out driving the person rather than just out running them.:badass:
