93' sho wont start
hello again. you guys helped me out before and i thank you.
my 93' sho won't start. it cranks but almost sounds like it is out of gas. about a week ago i started it and it would idle low and stall, so i kept my foot on the pedal for a few seconds until it smoothed out and it was fine. the car ran and started fine for about a week. if anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: 93' sho wont start
Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensors are fairly common to fail on the V6 SHO, especially if your water pump is leaking. See if you're getting spark. While checking for spark, pull a plug or two after a cranking event and see if the plug is wet will fuel.
Do you have access to a fuel pressure guage to check the fuel pressure? -Rod |

thanks. i will definitely check that out. i didn't notice any leaks though. i don't have access to a fuel pressure gauge.

Re: 93' sho wont start
The big thing is you need to determine what you don't have that the engine needs to start - spark, proper air/fuel ratio, or compression. Spark and fuel are pretty easy to check with regular tools. If you determine you don't have one or the other of them, that's where the specialty tools start to come in to play.

update: 93' sho won't start.
it turns out that it was only a loose sparkplug wire. it somehow popped out and wasn't completely seated.
