no blower

have 1990 probe lx and blower motor doesn't work. got new one also didn't work, when tested did work. kind of new to this stuff and would like some ideas on where and what to look for the problem and fix it. all ideas would really help.

Check your blower motor resistor or the fan switch. The blower motor resistor should be located on the box where the blower motor is.

is the resistor the silver cylinder that plugs into connector? and i've been looking for resistor at various places and can't seem to find one

Some models came with anywhere from 1 to 3 resistors, depending on the type of climate control you have.
The resistor is a round silver cylinder. Follow the wireing from the motor to locate it(them). Go to a junk yard and offer the guy $2.00 for each one and tell them that the ones you are buying could be bad(He just may give them to you for a buck a piece).
First check the fuses though(always start with the fuses). Then check if there is power going to the blower motor at the connector. If you have power going to the connector then it is most likely the resistors.
