HP, yes...But Torque?

Hey guys, I just got to wonderin...The Faq's said that with my mods I should be making 230-240 Hp...First of all, since the car is 10 years old, how much HP have I lost over the years (if any) and second of all, how much more/less torque am I making with my current mods?

Re: HP, yes...But Torque?

I dunno about those numbers, I would say you are nearly up to the stock rating of 222hp, assuming everything else is working fine on your car.

Re: HP, yes...But Torque?

Bench dynos are useless, your guess is as good as anyone elses.

Want to know how much power you've lost? Do a compression test.

Want to know your power levels? Go to a dyno.

You can at least go to any dyno, i'm curious about my power levels too, but I would have to drive 6 hours to the nearest awd dyno

Same here, I don't know of ANY dyno's in my area. Guess I should look them up

Re: HP, yes...But Torque?

I can drive 10 min to get to one, but I really have no use for one until I get another AWD car.

Re: HP, yes...But Torque?

Our cars seem to produce 210HP factory rating for 222 is very overrated. to the wheels its pretty bad maybe 175-185 hp, thats why intake and full exhaust is so crucial to the N/A platform all that opened up breathing allows for more power bigger intake/exhaust more air in/out. Just with intake and full exhaust we can produce 30-40 more hp to the flywheel.

Re: HP, yes...But Torque?

Intake and full exhaust dont even come close to adding 30 hp. People have shown to dyno 170whp stock. There are plenty who have went above and beyond exhaust and intake and havent even gotten to over 190whp.

30-40hp off intake and exhaust? I'll have what you're smoking.

Re: HP, yes...But Torque?

I never said anything about 40, the most I could see is 25-30hp to the flywheel, not to the wheel.

With a good set of headers 16hp, straight pipe, 7hp, catback 3-5hp, intake 1-2 hp

Add it up I do believe it comes to 30hp, and of course any time its measured to the wheel the power ratings are very minimal compared to the flywheel.

Re: HP, yes...But Torque?

Sorry I didn't mean that i typed it up pretty quick when I just woke up in the morning but I'm not arguing that 40hp to the wheel is incredibly unlikely, but I still believe it is around the 30hp range to the flywheel.

You guys still dont agree 30hp is likely from those mods?
