My 2 Cents

Well first off, I just finished reading the whole thread on disabling the VSS on a cavi written by Classicrocjunkie
And Classicrocjunkie... u are my hero.

Most of you probably race after sunset, when the roads have little traffic, and you think cops are like flies, and become blind. But you have to realize that going speeds over 108, there is no headlights that can keep up. You are overdriving your headlights! Good luck breaking when something comes up!
Again, just to continue the hypocracy legacy, I do enjoy to speed, however, not on public roads.
However, when we, with our little cavis talk about speed and "high speed" racing along with boosted HP; ur just talking bout the good ol' acceleration of the car.
Ive drove ferraris beemers mercedes and such, and for whoever argued that the faster car u got, the faster you want to go, then you my friend is an absloute retard. Its an image, a status, "get my drift?" (gayest thing i heard today, thnx for the laugh). The most you wud properly invest in your cavi along wit its price is no more than 25,000 (if ur a die hard). Those cars im talkin bout are 80,000+. I would love to see your face, when eventually u crash ur cavy! But what about when u car the 80,000+ dollar car? Bullshit ud go over 108 in ur brand new exotic, to beat another dumbass like you.

And for you that think you should be starrin The Transporter, here is reality check for you. What if the accident isn't your driving skill or lack off, but the environment around you like 70% of reason why accidents happen.
Tire hits a sharp object, deflates at a high speed, u swearve, hit a kid.
They arent comin after the object that popped ur tire, hell they arent comin after ur tire either moron.

Cars don't kill people. Dumb racers do.

PS: its much safer and easier just to park ur cars on the side of the road and compare dick sizes there, i just dont want to be ur victim when u bust a nut on the road.

Re: My 2 Cents

I am new to this forum, and read a lot of the topics. It seems that people like you in this case, have to be so god damn insulting because you don't agree with people and there desires. Retards and idiots. I don't understand why you have to come in here and flex your car muscle, when this is a gathering of minds over vehicles. What a pointless thread. I don't see anybody over in the proshce section insulting the owners because there making there car go over 200. No you bring your distain into this forum, to bag on people that don't have tons of money, but want to live a small dream. To have a fast car, and enjoy some hard work payoff. I used to own a neon when they first came out, and the gov wasnt on there. It did 124 WOOOHOOO wow im a fucking speed demon. Have some repect for people. Every third post in this forum someone is basically insulting someone else. I decided to make a thread while I built my stereo system in the car. People post that they disagree with my choices, but my thread is informative not for showing off. I can accept this kind of criticism, but coming here and calling people names shouldn't be accepted in a community like this.

I would love to see you fave when you crash?

pathetic

Re: My 2 Cents

I'm not a big fan of street racing because i realize that 50% of the population is retarded and unable to make good decisions. I didnt take the time to read in depth what you wrote, but i agree that going over 108mph is more or less a bad idea. I'm not innocent in saying that...i have regularly gotten over that speed on the interstate, but this is North Dakota..there are no people to kill . One day i will read your statement and cast judgement upon it.

Until the day of reckoning, this thread is in limbo...continue the discussion my children.

Re: My 2 Cents

comparing a car and a bike??? if it doesnt win thats sad. a decent bkie wieghts what 500lbs, a cavy wieghts 2400. even with a small engine in the bike it has about the same hp as the cavy and with the diferences in the wieght there no way the bike couldnt win so why bother saying your "sports bike" can beat a car. And buy somthing else? what if we like cavy's did that accure to u.As for supeing one up they haul ass.Gm suped up a 2.2l up to 1024 whp at a 7.14 1/4 mile time, the fastest recor 1/4 mile time was like 5.56 from a 2000 mustang not that big a difference considering its a cavy vs. a mustang.Racce your bike agaisnt that cavy then talk shit about them.Their design was made for areodynamics so it kinda makes sense to beef them up a little who needs a better platform than that with little bank money????next time think b4 u speak.

Re: My 2 Cents

Races belong at the tracks. Its that simple. Do I speed from time to time? Yes. Excessively or over 90 MPH? Negative!

There was a time, long ago that I wanted to see how fast it was possible to push my Mustang, and it was out in Nevada, just deserts on each side of the road, so why not? I did it, it was a rush, and I enjoyed it.

But people that drive public roads with other drivers around, especially at night, where you're unable to realistically prevent an accident...no respect for those kinds.

Re: My 2 Cents

Wow, way to bring this back from the dead. How the hell does comparing a bike to a cavalier amount to anything? And who should you be the one to judge people modifying their cavaliers? You didn't like yours, thats fine. You moved on and bought something else. Good for you. I have an astronomical amount put into my car that i know it will never be able to get back out of it. Do i care? No not really because its not about getting it faster than it should be going on the road. I set my cruise at 73mph in a 65 and call it enough. If i wanted a drag car i would have built one for speed, If i wanted a show car i would have built one to be in magazines. What i have done to my own car represents our fabrication skills, tallents, and automobile knowhow at RDFABS which we have funded our own cars out of our own pockets. No help from sponsorships. I represent 2 of the most modified if not THE most modified J's on this site. In neither of them do we street race or perform any acts where it would endanger the lives of other motorists. These are also not daily drivers either. So let this thread die in peace and quit this stupid bitching battle of hatred towards j-body owners and modding their vehicles. A sports bike has nothing to do with the sunfire or cavalier forums... If you would like to contribute some positive criticism about the j-body platform then please do where necessary. This section of the forum is to help other J-owners, not degrade them. Thanks!
