Weird turn signal
Hello,
2000 GA SE When I turn the turn signal on and then turn the corner, it clicks back into place like normal, but then after a couple of seconds it keeps making the clicking noise for a few seconds then stops, like it's still engaged...then going down the road a little further it starts it again....what the heck is going on???? It's driving me nuts...PLEASE HELP! |

Re: Weird turn signal
I have had similar problems on customer cars before and they turned out to be the multifunction switch. Of course you should do your basic wiring checks before condemning the multifunction switch. Just trying to point you in a direction.

Re: Weird turn signal
Same thing happened to me. Dealer wanted to charge me almost 500 bucks to replace the part. Just take off the turnsignal and wiper switch assembly and clean out the grease and put it back, works good as new.

Re: Weird turn signal
You should replace the old grease with Die electric grease to prevent it from happening again.
No lubrication will just make it wear out faster.

Re: Weird turn signal
GM Has a special poilicy for the turn signel switch. My Grand AM with 165000km just had it replaced no charge. It is very common through the Grand AMs and aleros.

Re: Weird turn signal
the GM special poilicy must just be in your area,
cause it does not exsist here.
