2002 saab 9-5 relay

Bk i got in my friends car today to come home from school, for some reason completely unknown to me, the kid who drove me that day decides to test his hazzard lights by poking it really hard! but the saabs has a rubbery ring arounf the button that broke and slipped back into the dash too far in to reach. so i told him all you have to do is find the relay for it and pull it out.
But for the life of me i couldn't fine it! i could hear it, i mean it wasn't in a pannel full of relays, i couldn't see it under or around the steering column. i tried to follow the click but couldn't so i gave up and he drove home with the lights on, all the wile i read almost the entire manual in 50 minuts...( i even remember the stupid fireing order). but can anyone tell me WHERE IN THE WORLD IT IS!?!?
