help please

Ok im drivin 2000 mustang and if i go to turn the radio on or put a cd in it shows that its workin but there is no sound even if i turn the volume up all the way still none. BTW i have a mach450 sound

Pull out the deck and check the connector for the speakers.

forgot to mention a big thing well it use to work and while it was workin the battery would die so id have to charge it then after the sound quit from the speakers i wouldnt have to charge the battery so i was thinkin a short?

Does sound work with radio on?but not with cd? check you amps in the rear for power and a short and behind dash for cd player short--especially where you foot gets near the wires--or someone elses mechanical work on radio.
