Thumbs up Don't be fooled!

They want you to mess your models up so you can buy more from them! I have used primer on every model for the last 5 years and wouldn't paint a model without primer!! And as far as the bathroom goes, my wife would KILL me if I even thought about doing such a thing! All those fumes in such a confined space?! Puh-LEASE!!!

When the body is perfect and fresh from the box, you can get away without primer.

However, when you have done lots of mods / sanding / puttying jub on the body, it could end up with several different colors. You definitely need primer to cover them and get a nice even base color for spraying your body color.

Trust me, when spraying metallic or light color, a primer *makes* a different.

I think it was Warren that mentioned that the model car instructions made good reading material while in the bathroom....... these guys found something even better........ they paint while they're in there!!

yeah, that tutorial is pretty dumb. it can work, but i wouldn't suggest following that.

before bathroom spraying -->
after coming out ------------->

Yep, me too!

Not a very good tutorial, see if they can spray a black plastic model with yello for their next painting tutorial.

Chris: I wouldn't be surprised if you also take your casting materials there

Synd.: I don't see the reason to be confused, Daniel made a very good and detailed painting tutorial (the one in the FAQ), so why not stick to that?
