Pics, as promised, and if you're on dial-up, get your coffee while this loads..

And yes, that's me in the driver's seat... oogly mofo, ain't I?

I tried to get a pic of the Odometer, but they all came out blurry, so I'll just tell you, it had 268,130 miles on the chassis, about 14k on the engine since it's 3rd rebuild.. and now, it's not the pass side headlight that's broken, it's the driver's side. and the d-side corner lens isn't there...

EDIT: apparently, you can see the mileage clearly in the pic of the steering wheel.. yes, that's an '88 teg wheel, and yes, it works, but I'd recommend a fat washer behind it, or else the turn signal/wiper switches are too close to your fingers, and you'll hit them trying to turn the wheel..

EDIT: Adding pics of friend's truck.

The two trucks together in the driveway

The "youngin" of the family, just a wee little '97 S-10

That's Burd (owner of both) standing there trying to look cool.

This is the mighty Bronk... lots of fun times in/around that truck.

Re: Pics, as promised, and if you're on dial-up, get your coffee while this loads..

$200 bucks.. 2nd time owning it. I sold it to the kid for his CRX HF, last payment ($100) on a pair of '85 CRX's, a 1000 watt amp, and $200 about a year ago, then he's put some money into it, and I got it back for the cash only.

I love the car tho... everything about it, even the dash rattling when you take off b/c of the solid engine mounts. She's all mine... and I'm going to make her young again.

name's Vicki :P (Civic | Vicky) get it?

Re: Pics, as promised, and if you're on dial-up, get your coffee while this loads..

Oh, did anyone notice the nose of the Vehicle sitting in the background there?

It's my dad's 2008 Equinox... nice SUV, but it's a POS, honestly.. I"d never buy it.. too much "stuff" in it... and it gets crappy gas mileage.

When he first came to pick me up in that thing, I spent 1/2 hour playing w/ buttons before we could even pull out of my lot. lol

But it's a rental.. I think it's going back this week, the insurance company paid for it, when their "named insured" hit a mailbox that then smashed my dad's windshield and d-side mirror, left a couple dents on the way down the bed of his truck, and a nice ding in the tailgate as a "goodbye" present.

The insurance company Paid my dad $816.14 for that... not that there was that much damage... but they paid him for EVERY LITTLE DENT in his S-10.. lmao.

Re: Pics, as promised, and if you're on dial-up, get your coffee while this loads..

Mine will get better, it just takes time.. fixed the headlight today, and replaced the broken wheel stud (you DON'T have to press the hub to replace them.)

soon enough, I'll be getting my '91 front end from Gary's, and replacing the whole front end, I found a guy that can weld enough to do the body work on the rear quarters, will be getting the exhaust parts, to rebuild that, even tho it doesn't really need it.. getting a ZC engine for it, still debating whether to go turbo or not, that will be a last minute decision.

CRX dash/console, full black interior, E-brake delete, no head unit, MP3 only audio system, seats, not sure which ones yet, still figuring that out.. pry whatever I can get for a good price.

Eh, i was too lazy to shave for a couple days... I don't care if it's there or not.. I told you, I'm an oogly mofo.

But believe it or not, I've had the same amt of facial hair since I was 14... and I'm 22 now.. it just never grows in any heavier/thicker... my dad's didn't even start coming in until he was 24 or so, and by the time he was 25, he had a full, thick, old man beard.

Re: Pics, as promised, and if you're on dial-up, get your coffee while this loads..

such a lack of faith in the honda... lol really, it's not THAT BAD.. I mean, it seems really nasty lookin, but I've started fixing stuff, and I'm getting around to the point where I'll be swapping the front end out, it's a project, meaning "in the works" ya know.. I'm sure you've had a car before that you'd have done just about anything to save. This was my first honda... and it will be with me 'till I can't revive it anymore.

I'll be giving this car to my kids man.

it'll be primer'd black by the time I get around to changing the front end out.. I hate that paint, it's all peeling and stuff. i'd rather see a car fully done in primer than w/ crappy paint on it.

HAHA, its more the rust that makes it unattractive.
