ford remote starter programming

I have a factory ford remote starter that grinds the starter just after it starts.I think it may need tach programming but I have no info on it.If anybody has any info on programming these remote starters and is wiling to share it i would greatly appreciate it.Asked the ford dealer and all they want is for me to bring it into the shop. The remote has the 4 buttons(lock, unlock, panic, start).

Re: ford remote starter programming

Go to www.codealarm.com and look up your information. Codealarm was making the Ford units.

Re: ford remote starter programming

tried that website and their remotes are allmost identical to mine none of their starters were the same, think i have an older system.Did a search on the fcc id and found it to be a company called code systems inc.I think that it may be same company as they have same starters.Anyways I found mine as an older model called surestart and got all the info I needed.

Re: ford remote starter programming

Hey there...the ford dealer gets paid for their knowledge, if you dont come in to pay them, you get no knowledge...but that aside...there is no such thing as a factory remote starter from ford. Ford does however have an accesory remote starter that is DEALER INSTALLED. Their units happens to be made by code alarm company. research code alarm on google.....

Why don't you read ALL of the threads before busting someone's chops. What you said is what I already posted and I included the company's website to boot.

Re: ford remote starter programming

Hey there! I install remote starts for the Ford vehicles... I can guide you through the process. Your setting is set to crank the starter for 8 seconds. Do you have just the remote start or remote start with RKE and Vechicle Security option?

Re: ford remote starter programming

Does anyone know anything about Ford remote starts? I have one that the Ford Dealership installed in 2007 (Code Alarm P/N 7L3J-19G367-AA). Basically everytime I try starting it I get 3 chirps which indicates a door is open, however, NO door is open. I can't seem to find any info on it.
