Does this count as a loss?

If it does, then I guess loosing to something with only 1.3 liters wasn't that bad.

On my way to work this morning, had a nice, wide open access road, so I decide to get on it. Have a bit of fun before having to do the whole work thing. And my little romp up to 110 caught the attention of a rather pristine looking 'Busa.

He pulls up next to me at a light, looks my car over and kinda nods. I give him the thumbs up on the bike, even though I just realised how damned ugly those things really are. I used to think they were sexy, but when you really look at one, not so much. Anyways, he revs, most likely as a joke, and I just kinda shrug and toss one back at him. Light goes green, and I just kinda roll off, but punch it right before coming out of first. After preventing torque steering myself into the next county, I chirp into second, and chirp again going into third. I'm hard on it in third, just rounding out sixty when he goes flying by me like I'm not even moving. The only time I've ever had something go by me faster was what I think was an R1 that flew by me so fast, it didn't even have the doppler effect...

He slows up, I give him a huge grin and thumbs up, and he returns the thumbs up, and takes off again.

I don't think it really counts as a loss. I'd like to keep the current record at 3-0...but against a bike, I don't think a 3-1 would really be all that bad. I mean, its not like I have a Supra or a Viper where bikes aren't all that much of a challange, lol.

Also, I just ordered the Mazdaspeed CAI. You only live once, right? Should be in by next weekend.

Re: Does this count as a loss?

Hmmm, I think technically that would be a loss. But since when have we ever done things by the book on here anyway?

And yes, both the Busa and Ninja ZX14R are hideous. Up close they are enormous bikes that handle like crap. They are uckin fugly.

Re: Does this count as a loss?

Yeah, I mean, I've seen 'em on the highway and such, but when you really take a good look at it, you realise

A)How big they are
and
B)How ugly they are

The ZX-14, for a sports bike, is HUGE!

Re: Does this count as a loss?

I would have to call that a loss since you initiated the race. But since you knew the outcome before you started, it's a good loss.

Hmmm, indeed. So, we count this as a noble loss?

Hm , i think bikes are in there own category. An honorable death sounds better engaging in combat knowing a victory is impossible, sounds kind of samurai like.

Re: Does this count as a loss?

True. I knew I was gonna loose, unless he dropped the bike, picked it up, stalled it, decided to walk it across the intersection, then get back on it and start the race...and even then it would have been close, lol. But I like silentscream's post so much I quoted it on facebook.

Re: Does this count as a loss?

^True Story.

I just lossed to some kid with a 24 speed Schwin. In my defense he had gears and lightweight wheels.

Re: Does this count as a loss?

Good loss, and good choice in your pic of a car. Those Mazdaspeed3's are getting rave reviews from all the magazines. I can't say the same of the Calibre SRT-4.

The irony of all this is since I posted this thread, I ordered the Mazdaspeed CAI, installed it, found out I didn't like it, sold it for a forty dollar profit, and put in a new intake.
