1990 deville

Hello,

The best investment a cadi owner can make is to go on ebay and get the dealer service manual. I have a 1990 Fleetwood which is the same car except the fleetwood has wheelwell skirts.

To test your alarm . . .
Turn the car on, open the drivers window, turn the car off, a yellow light on the dash should automatically flash indicating alarm is set.

Then lock the car with the inside lever, exit the car and close the door. Now reach in to the car and press the unlock lever, while you are outdise the car, then open the door.

If the alarm is working the horn will blast, (very important) to turn the alarm off put your key in the outter door key lock and turn it to the right to open the lock manually.

Actually you must have a faulty alarm or be very smart becasue I set off the alarm by mistake from time to time in the summer.

If it's not working from this test the dealer service manual will give you the steps to diagnose what the problem is and how to fix it.

Good luck, Terry
